Kia ora. Welcome to our unique Christchurch tours. We offer either a short 20 min RIDE, or for the adventurer a range of TOUR options that will titillate the soul, etched into your memory bank to last a life time.
Our trike is a 3 seater trike, powered by a Chevy 350 V8. Owner operator Baz will deliver a safe and enjoyable tour designed around your request. The tours are booked by half hour (30 minute) blocks to keep the day tidy and convenient, both for yourself and the next adventurer, the 30 minute block covers the trike hire - meaning 2 seats.
We operate in Christchurch from the Cashel Street taxi rank as we are a P endorsed operator. It’s near 'Remembrance Bridge' in the heart of the City of Christchurch. From time to time we operate from the square beside the trams.
When booking your tour, you can request a pick up from your accommodation or the taxi rank. Our normal operating hours are 8.30am till 5pm however we will do tours outside of those times by arrangement.
FUN FACTS!
Our trike is loaded with electronics - more than the eyes can see. It has throttle body injection. The engine is coupled to a POWERGLIDE 2 speed auto and thru the 8 3/4inch ford diff, has almost 300 BHP at the rear wheels. The body is constructed of moulded carbon fibre. Has alloy wheels and rides on a tubular chassis. With fuel in the tank, our trike weighs only 740 kilos. I liken this package to a GoCart on steroids lol, hence only one driver.

TOUR OPTIONS
Tour 1Â
CBD
Introduction Tour: Around the central city for 30 minutes ($160) for 2 people. Unique sight sightseeing while enjoying the ride! Starting at the Cashel Street TAXI Rank near the WILSONS Car Park, the tour highlights the contrast between the devastation of the 2011 Earth Quake to the re-growth of today, the City of Christchurch is alive and thriving.
Tour 2Â
Extended CBD
45 minutes ($240) for 2 people taking in more sights than tour 1. Be prepared people will notice you enjoying yourselves on our V8 Trike as we traverse around the city.
Tour 3Â
CBD & Views
Approx 80 minutes ($320) for 2 people. The tour starts from Cashel Street Taxi Rank up to the TOP of the Cashmere Hills. We will visit Coopers Knob overlooking Governors Bay and the Port of Lyttelton, then onto Sugar Loaf car park with terrific views of the greater Christchurch. Pause for a drink if needed at the Sign of the Kiwi before heading back down the winding road thru bushland back to Cashel Street starting point, it is our most popular ride.
Tour 4Â
Extended CBD & Views
Our Popular Tour! It's 110 minutes ($450) for 2 people. The same as Tour 3 however it also has the City Tour included with a beverage break with cake or scones at the Sign of the Kiwi, a fun trip winding thru the hills.
Tour 5Â
Extended CBD & Views to Ship
This is the same as Tour 3 ($500) for 2 people. Except it's an awesome trip back to the ship in the Port of Lyttelton. Approx 120 minutes of fun in the sun, more views than sitting in the bus and traveling thru the dark tunnel. Wind in the hair, beverage break at the Sign of the Kiwi before heading back winding around the bays to your ship a great way to close your enjoyment that Christchurch has added to your journey. We deliver you to the shuttle bus pick up point outside of the wharf.
Tour DELUX
Pick up & Drop off
Is everything thrown in as it were... ($600) for 2 people. We pick you up at the Ship in Lyttelton, anticlockwise trip taking you up and over the hills (Evans Pass) to Sumner Bay around the waterfront to the City of Christchurch. A tour thru the city delivering you to a receptive point, thru discussion with Baz (the Operator). A satisfactory pick up time is crucial so that we can pick you up again at the end of your sightseeing of Christchurch. Then add Tour 5 to your travels back to the ship, with refreshment along the way. Exhilarating!Â
Tour 6Â
Your Choice
You decide the route and tour length! ($160 per half hour) for 2 people. Hire our trike in half an hour blocks which can go up to 8 hours. For any ride over 3 hours, we will provide lunch and refreshment.
Tour AKAROA
Full Day!
Now this is a Tour for the Trike enthusiast who wants time in the countryside to enjoy the winding roads and wind in their hair out to Akaroa and return. Akaroa is essentially, originally a French Colony and home to world famous fish'n'chips. Try out the Orange Roughy fish. Succulent and fresh as! Chips are just as awesome. Akaroa also is home to the miniature dolphins. A great place to relax and enjoy a beverage with some fine food before returning to the ship. It is a whole day trip! Contact Baz for this tour that makes ever lasting memoirs! A special price considering the time and pleasure attained. Lunch is provided.
If you're not sure which ride to take, try our sample tour. It's for those who just want the feeling of being on the V8 Trike comes in at $50 per/person $100 for the ride. Be WARNED, you will want more!! It's a 20 minute spot of pleasure!

We only show times 12 hours in the future to avoid double booking. Call Barry to arrange a ride if you want a tour today or if you want a different time to what is showing in the booking form - we are flexible!
The only reason you can cancel is if it's too wet to ride.
